This is the one city we serve that is not in Broward, and it matters more than the address. Broward accepts either a Broward County Product Approval or a Miami-Dade NOA on exterior door assemblies. Miami-Dade accepts only its own NOA. So hardware that is perfectly approved on a job in Hollywood is not approved here. We work both sides of that line regularly and specify to whichever county the property actually sits in, which is the kind of detail that gets missed by someone who only works one side.

Most of Aventura lives in high-rise towers, and a tower is not a house stacked up. Hundreds of units share one structural envelope, one set of life-safety systems, and one elevator bank, so anything touching a door in a common corridor touches the building, not just the unit. Practically that means access control at the lobby and garage, fire-rated doors in the corridors that cannot be modified, and unit doors where a rekey is simple but a hardware change may need the association's sign-off. We work inside those rules rather than around them.
The mall and the medical offices run on different clocks
Aventura holds one of the largest retail centers in the country plus a dense cluster of medical practices, imaging centers, and clinics. Retail hardware takes constant public traffic and usually has to be serviced before opening or after close. Medical offices need controlled access, doors that record who went where, and rooms that stay secure with staff moving through all day.
