Members-Only Cigar Lounge Needed Keyless Door Access Without Staffing the Door, Hallandale Beach
A members-only lounge wanted members to get themselves in without anyone working the door. We fit an Adams Rite 4900 dead latch with an HES C5000 outdoor-rated electric strike and wired it into the access panel they already had, so the owner adds or removes a member’s access from the system instead of handing out keys.
A members-only cigar lounge in Hallandale Beach had a problem that is common for that kind of spot. They wanted members to come and go on their own, but they did not want to pay someone to sit at the door, and they did not want to hand out metal keys that get copied and never come back.
They already had a back-door access control panel running. What they did not have was a front setup that let a member badge in cleanly. So we cut the door and frame to take the new hardware and fit an Adams Rite 4900 series dead latch, which is the latch built for aluminum storefront doors like theirs. Against it we set an HES C5000 electric strike, and we used the outdoor-rated version because that door sees weather.
We wired the strike into the panel they already owned. Now the owner controls the whole thing from the system: add a new member, they are in; drop a member, their access is gone that minute. No rekeying, no chasing down a key.
The door faces the weather, which is why the outdoor-rated C5000 went in instead of the standard one. An indoor strike on an exposed door corrodes and starts failing.
We install and wire access control and door hardware for businesses across Hallandale Beach and Broward. See our access control and door hardware pages, or call (954) 371-5674.
