A back stockroom door had a step at the threshold that stopped dollies and carts cold. We installed a Pemko SBR5F rubber ramp threshold, 5 and 5/8 inches wide with a half-inch offset, matched to the existing floor level, so staff push straight through without lifting over the lip.
A Sunrise facility had a back door that its own people kept fighting. There was a step at the threshold, not a big one, but enough that a loaded dolly or cart hit it and stopped. Every trip through that door meant lifting or shoving over the lip. On a busy stockroom door that gets old fast, and it is how carts tip and backs get hurt.
We fit a Pemko SBR5F rubber ramp threshold, 5 and 5/8 inches wide with a half-inch offset, made by Assa Abloy. The ramp bridges the height difference so the floor meets the door opening in a smooth run instead of a step. We matched it to the store’s existing floor level so it sits flush and does not become its own trip point. Now staff push straight through, no lift, no stop.
We install threshold ramps and door hardware for businesses across Sunrise and Broward. See our door hardware installation page or call (954) 371-5674.
